Chiara Zubiani is a contemporary circus artist specialised in static trapeze. Through the trapeze she develops work that combines aerial technique, stage presence and expressive research, making the body a place of tension and fragility.
She trained at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London (BA Hons in Circus Arts) and holds a degree in Cinema and Performing Arts from La Sapienza University of Rome, complementing her practice with studies in anthropology and a course in artistic research at Stockholm University of the Arts.
She has collaborated internationally with Impact Artists (UK), CRECE Project (Madrid) and Circus Kathmandu (Nepal). Her creations have been presented at Jacksons Lane and The Place (London), Teatro Furio Camillo (Rome), Le Lido and Les Rencontres de Danse Aérienne (France), and Curioso Circo (Mexico).
She was selected for Park in Progress — Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes (11th edition) and in 2025 her solo trapeze work won Battiti Off.
She also engages in pedagogical and artistic direction activities, teaching at La Grainerie and Université Jean Jaurès in Toulouse.
